User Roles

Users must have an assigned user role. Standard user roles cannot be deleted, only edited. Once configured, user roles are assigned to users on the Users page.

New user roles can be added through the Add User Role dialog. Only the Name field is mandatory, the user role Description and the permissions are optional.

The standard user roles have these permissions:

The YARA permission covers overall access to the yara page. Without this permission, the user will not see the YARA option in the top navigation bar.

The YARA Publish/Delete permission allows the users to synchronize YARA rulesets and deletions across all appliances connected to the Spectra Detect Manager. Users without this permission can only make local changes to YARA rulesets. This permission requires YARA synchronization to be enabled on the Spectra Detect Manager and then subsequently on Spectra Analyze.
