User Roles

Spectra Analyze > Administration > Users & Personalization > User Roles

Users must have an assigned user role.

Adding user roles

To create a new user role, click Add User Role, and enter the following information:

  • Name: name of the new user role. Mandatory.
  • Description: description of the new user role. Optional.
  • General Access > YARA View: allow overall access to the YARA page. Without this permission, users do not see the Yara option in the top navigation bar.
  • YARA > Publish YARA Rules: allow users to publish YARA rules. This permission requires YARA synchronization to be enabled on the Spectra Detect Manager and then subsequently on Spectra Analyze.
  • YARA > Delete YARA Rules: allow users to delete YARA rules. Without this permission, users can only delete their own repositories.
warning

Granting Delete YARA Rules without also granting Publish YARA Rules may cause synchronization issues with Spectra Detect Manager. A confirmation dialog is displayed in case of this configuration.

To save your changes, click Submit.
